High Court dismissed the bail, court observed that bail can not be granted to the accused at this stage. Court has also directed all the accused to surrender before trial court at Dharamsala on Thursday. Ajay Verma, Naveen Verma, Abhinav Verma and Mukul Sharma are accused in the case.
Aman Kachroo, had succumbed to his injuries allegedly received while being ragged in March last year. The four accused, after spending almost 16 months in jail were granted bail by a fast track court of Kangra. The fast track court released them on bond of Rs 50,000.
The accused have been booked under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The accused – Naveen, Abhinav and Mukul – are already facing charges of rioting, criminal intimidation, carrying weapons and trespassing, the order of bail suffers from judicial impropriety and is illegality.
Himachal Pradesh High Court on Monday had reserved its judgment in the Aman Kachroo ragging case. The judgment was reserved by Justice D D Sood after hearing the arguments of both the parties.
Harsh punishment should be given to these accused so that each person would think twice before committing such crime.
