Sam Mendes, the Oscar®-winning director of Skyfall, Spectre and American Magnificence, brings his singular imaginative and prescient to his World Warfare I epic, 1917.
On the peak of the First World Warfare, two younger British troopers, Schofield (Captain Incredible’s George MacKay) and Blake (Recreation of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly unattainable mission. In a race in opposition to time, they have to cross enemy territory and ship a message that can cease a lethal assault on a whole lot of troopers—Blake’s personal brother amongst them.
1917 is directed by Sam Mendes, who wrote the screenplay with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Showtime’s Penny Dreadful). The movie is produced by Mendes and Pippa Harris (co-executive producer, Revolutionary Highway; govt producer, Away We Go) for his or her Neal Road Productions, Jayne-Ann Tenggren (co-producer, The Rhythm Part; affiliate producer, Spectre), Callum McDougall (govt producer, Mary Poppins Returns, Skyfall) and Brian Oliver (govt producer, Rocketman; Black Swan).
The movie is produced by Neal Road Productions for DreamWorks Photos in affiliation with New Republic Photos. Common Photos will launch the movie domestically in restricted launch on December 25, 2019 and vast on January 10, 2020. Common and Amblin Companions will distribute the movie internationally, with eOne distributing on behalf of Amblin within the U.Okay. official trailer
