Smoking As Fashion For Indian Working Womens!

May 31st means today is celebrated as ‘World no Tobacco day’ but how many people will leave eating or inhaling tobacco as smoke? Smoking or Drinking alcohol is like fashion for youths even it has become trend for women’s who are working in BPO’s, News or Media. Smoking can cause infertility, miscarriages and still births. It is worrying that women don’t know about this.”

The women smokers working in BPO’s and media take to smoking mostly due to peer pressure or under stress. They start by becoming passive smokers as they share the same group which has smokers and eventually themselves become smokers.

Use of tobacco kills more than 1.5 million women in world every year, and the number could rise to 2.5 million in the next two decades. India seems to have come a long way from the time when the only women who were seen smoking openly were vamps in movies. About 1.5 per cent of Indian women are smokers.
Dr Gauravi Mishra from Tata Memorial Hospital said “Many women considered it a sign of liberation, an affirmation of their identity as a free person and an equal”.
The worse part is that a majority of the women surveyed were not aware that apart from cancer and heart disease, smoking could lead to reproductive health problems.

It is very sad that not only men but also women are going on wrong way!

Is our health nothing in front of luxury or fashion?

Mineral Water How Much Pure?

Mineral water is the most common thing in our life when we travel. We usually don’t carry water with us because it is available easily every where like Railway station, Bus stand, Restaurants. But have you ever thought that this water is safe or not?

Water is our most valuable cleansing agent, flushing toxins and byproducts of metabolism from our body while furnishing pure hydrogen and oxygen to cells and tissue.
Mineral water has many brands like Kinley, Bisleri, Aquafina, Kingfisher etc are some names which are common to us. It is believed that mineral water is the safest water for our health. But do you know there are some companies which are earning money on the cost of our health? They use the plastic bottles which are cheap and harmful for our health. Plastics contain other chemicals used to alter their properties – changing the stiffness or keeping them resistant to breakdown from light.
Pure water can help you burn fat, beat a fever, improve your complexion, relieve constipation, build muscle, drain a stuffy nose, fight a stomachache, and improve your mood.
In an attempt to prevent spread of water-borne diseases in summer, the Delhi High Court has directed the government to tighten the noose around illegal units manufacturing and selling bottled drinking water.
Delhi police searched and has sat investigation on ‘Tripti’ mineral water. This company has not mentioned the manufacturing date, best before date etc. The owner of the company is being taken for investigation.
There are such more companies which are not following the rules and regulations. It is necessary to take action against these companies which are playing with the life of people.
Is there any company that you know which is running with not taking care of rules and regulations?
Raise you voice against the evils!
What are you waiting for?

She owns no vehicle, no agricultural land.

This included 3987.78 square metre of property worth Rs 54 crore at Nehru Road in New Delhi. Mayawati has Rs 12.95 lakh in cash and Rs 11.39 crore as “deposits in banks/financial institutions and non-banking financial companies”.

Mayawati calls herself as a ‘dalit’ but she has never done something for poor or for her ‘dalit’ community. She is just trying to earn money for herself?

Mayawati is a good example of politics where politicians can be seen only earning for themselves and doing nothing to develop our country.

Politics and politicians are impossible to understand by common man!

Feeling Hot Hot Hot…

106 people have lost their lives. This year heat has crossed the expectations and it is now unbearable for people. People who are rich and can manage Air conditions or Coolers are passing their time coolly but people who have no homes, or sell products on roads or in open are passing their time like living in ‘Hell’. Bhopal recorded its highest temperature in 63 years at 46 degrees.

The heatwave conditions prevail across the country, 58 heat-stroke deaths have been reported from interior Orissa. Rajasthan government has decided to start schools as early as 7 am and shut them by noon. Madhya Pradesh that ordered early Summer vacations.

Healthy drinks, juices, shakes, lime water and fruits are the best way to keep ourselves cool and far from hot summer for a while. The juice shops and cafes are earning good as the heat is unbearable and people become more thirsty.

The temperature in Morena was recorded at above 45 degrees. Earlier, the Met office had said that it experienced a high of 49.2 degrees.
The heatwave in Gujarat claimed 14 lives, including five persons in Ahmedabad. A high of 45.2 degrees, Vallabhvidhya Nagar (44.6), Ahmedabad (44.9), Vadodara (44.7), Gandhinagar (44.4), Rajkot (43.5) and Bhavnagar (43.2).

Alcohol Consumed For Fashion By Youths!

Alcohol is a known risk factor for cancers of the mouth, esophagus, liver, colon and breast. Higher consumption of alcohol led to higher risk of death from colon cancer and bile duct cancer. Alcohol kills 2.5 million people annually and is the eighth leading factor for deaths globally, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said. Many people use alcohol to escape from their problems, or to change their personalities.

When a person takes a drink of alcohol, ethanol (the chemical name for drinkable alcohol) irritates the stomach lining, releasing acids. Alcoholic beverages causes damage to the liver and kidneys. Even a small amount starts the problem. Pregnant women or people whose family has an alcohol related background must be extremely cautious and, if possible, not to drink at all. Alcohol consumption has been associated with increased risks for all-cause mortality, motor vehicle crashes, stroke, sudden cardiac arrest, suicide, cancer.
Excessive alcohol consumption increases risks for a cardiomyopathy, cardiac dysrhythmia, sudden cardiac arrest cancer (particularly of the breast and gastrointestinal tract), cirrhosis, fetal alcohol syndrome, and sleep apnea.
Drunk driving takes away countless of innocent lives every year – it is so dangerous to drink and drive- these people are not only putting their lives in danger, but they are endangering others as well- others who have families and loved ones to go back to.
Late night parties, is common among youths and they cannot control themselves from drinking alcohol as it may affect their personality they think. Drinking sometimes may become a habit. People who runs from their problem drink alcohol and try to escape.

ON MAY 22, 2010 , an army officer’s wife returning from a party had five times the permissible limit of alcohol in blood, hit and auto-rickshaw. Two people died in the accident, the Colonel’s wife was arrested and later released on bail. How it is easy to kill innocent people and go scot-free on bail.
There are 5-6 truck accidents on Sher Shah Suri Mag between New Delhi and Ambala Cantt at different places daily.
Car owners use to attend dinners and get drunk, indulge in fast driving and are unable to control the vehicle and face accidents. It is estimated that about 60-65% of accidents are being caused because of drunk driving and one wheeling during night and early hours of morning.

Are you Alcoholic?

Do you drink in parties?

Drinking Alcohol represents your personality?

One of the country’s worst aviation disaster, 158 people were killed and eight others miraculously survived after the plane overshot the runway by 2,000 feet, going off the edge of Mangalore’s table-top airport on Saturday. All passengers were Indians, many returning home from Dubai where they worked. Among the 158 dead were 19 children and four infants. There 22 bodies which are still unidentified because they are totally burnt and can only be identified by the DNA test.

This disaster will be remembered for long time in future for all over the world. Kasargod a small village near Mangalore 41 people lost their lives. Karunakaran has been going from house to house in his constituency Kasargod in Kerala, consoling the grief stricken relatives of the victims of Saturday’s Mangalore air crash.
The bodies of H.S. Ahluwalia, co-pilot of the Air India flight which crashed in Mangalore, and crew member Tejal Anil Kamulkar were flown in here on Sunday. Tejal’s body was taken to her house at Dombivili in Thane.
Naveen Fernandes (36) worked for Spinneys supermarket, while his wife Saritha D’Souza (24) was employed at Dubai Mall in Dubai. They lived together with Naveen’s brother, sister and brother-in-law. Naveen’s previous work permit did not allow him to take his baby as he was in the low income category. He had found a better paying job with a tea company and the next thing the couple did was to fly to India to take their daughter back with them. The little one who was separated from her parents, is now orphaned for ever.

Thirty year-old Sujata Survase, a Mumbai-based airhostess was dead on Saturday. Survase’s parents were looking at marriage proposals for their only daughter. The airhostess is survived by three brothers: two elder and one younger.
17 year-old Dubai student Harshini Poonja read. The teenager and her parents were on their way to Mangalore for a family wedding. Her mother Manirekha was an employee with the financial department of a Dubai-based firm. Her father Shashikant also died in the crash.
Mahesh Shetty was about to begin a whole new chapter in his life when fate intervened. The young sales executive who’d been working in Dubai for only a short time, was to meet a girl – one his parents had chosen to marry him to.
Nancy Barreto (45) was to visit her ailing husband Anthony, admitted in the ICU of Manipal Hospital but succumbed to severe burn injuries in the crash. Nancy was supporting her husband financially, since he lost his job a couple of years ago.
The Lobos had cut their Dubai holiday short, not knowing this would be the last time they spent together.
Vasant G Shetty will never know a stroke of luck or divine intervention, . However Shetty couldn’t help thanking his lucky stars on Saturday morning when he was rudely awakened by his ringing cellphone and switched on the television to watch the horror of IX-812.
Abdullah Puttur Ismail (37) uttered 33 times after he found realised that he had survived a tragedy that will never be forgotten in India’s aviation history. His survivor’s tale, however, got over 100 people from his hometown to visit him at the KR Hegde Hospital, where he will remain under observation till Monday.
One boy is mourning the death of his entire family. Air India flight IX 812 was carrying Rauhan’s father, mother, younger sister, and little brother. But what is making it much worse is that he is unable to even trace the bodies of his two younger siblings. He’s only 13 but Rauhan is doing a terribly agonising task. After news broke that the plane carrying his entire family crashed, Rauhan and his uncle rushed from Dubai to Mangalore only to know that all four had died. While his mother’s body has been identified, his father’s remains to be identified. But the bodies of his siblings, 4-year-old Zubair and 5-year-old Zainab’s are not even traceable.
13-year-old Rauhan, who perhaps may not even get ashes of his little sister, he will have to live in the memory of her smile when she waved ‘tata’ to him at the Dubai airport before taking off.

Theresiamma Philip missed her flight as she got the timing of the flight wrong.

Many families will conduct the funeral, with the spirit that even if there might have been a mistake in identifying their relative, they will still be performing the last rites of a person on board the same flight.
This tragedy will never be forgotten by the people who have lost their near and dear one’s. The Morning brings hope to live life with joy but this morning would only bring sorrow and miseries.
God bless peace to the soul’s.

At the end it is believed that “Now it doesn’t matters who’s made fault but the price is paid by innocent people giving their lives”.

Counterfeit Drugs On Rise In India

Counterfeiting is greater in those areas where regulatory and legal oversight is weaker. This easy and lucrative business has attracted organized crime and in most of the countries, the punishment is not sufficiently strong to deter criminals. Counterfeiting is deceptive and immoral in any field. But in health-care, it is criminal and simply unacceptable. Our health is cheap? What our Government has done to eradicate these drugs? Are we using counterfeited drugs? Are we safe?

Counterfeiting can apply to both branded and generic products and counterfeit products may include products with the correct ingredients or with the wrong ingredients, without active ingredients, with insufficient active ingredients or with fake packaging. All counterfeit medicines are substandard because they are manufactured and distributed outside of regulatory control and their composition is unpredictable. On the other hand, not all substandard medicines are counterfeit because not all of them have been ‘deliberately and fraudulently mislabeled.
Countries such as India and Brazil, which are major manufacturers of generic drugs, accuse the pharmaceutical industry of using the issue of counterfeit drugs to protect their patents against generic competitors.

“They put people at risk of harm from medical products that may contain too much, too little, or the wrong active ingredient and/or contain toxic ingredients.
in developing countries, especially Africa, counterfeit medicines are commonly available to treat life-threatening conditions such as malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.
Research and development-based pharmaceutical companies say that counterfeit medicines pose a threat to patients and they are not driven by commercial interest in fighting the scourge.
Even the life saving drugs are also not spared. There is a little awareness of the problem of counterfeit medicines in the mind of the common people. Governments, N.G.O.s, and other groups working for the social and health concerns should educate the general public by setting up information campaigns, advertisements, banners, hoardings and other means of mass communication. Public should be advised to buy medicines from legitimate sources only.
The simplest and cheapest way to detect counterfeit drugs is to compare the printing, embossing, shape, odour, taste, and consistency of a suspected sample with a genuine product. Physical and chemical properties such as weight, density, refractive index, viscosity, osmolarity, pH, crystal morphology, solubility etc. can also be used to identify counterfeit drugs.
Do you check medicines while purchasing?
Have you ever suffered due to counterfeited medicine?
What step should be taken to ban this drugs?

Un-Healthy Food In Railways!

Indian Rail route is common medium for traveling by people from village to cities and is convenient. India is a country where trains either Local or Long distance people prefer to travel by them. We usually carry food with us in long journey but we do get food in trains and platforms. The main question arise is that the food eat in trains and platforms are healthy and hygienic? 21 passengers, including six children, of Ernakulam-bound Duronto Express from New Delhi, were admitted to a hospital for suspected food poisoning after they had breakfast in the train.

The non-stop train, which left Hazrat Nizamuddin on Saturday night, made an unscheduled stoppage at Kozhikode around 11.40am when passengers complained of vomiting and diarrhoea. There were problems even with the dinner served on Sunday. Passengers alleged the train did not have drinking water facility.

Minister of State of Railways said, such incidents cannot be avoided totally. Very irresponsible statement – can he travel in such trains for two-three days and eat the normal food from the Pantry Car of the train?
There are many cases where we have seen that people felt sick by eating food of trains. One serious question arise is how many times the railway minister and the senior officials have travelled by train to different destinations?

It is said that Indian Railways provides a better service with a quality service in foods but its FAKE….!! Each and every people who have travelled a long distance in the railways may have noticed that the quality of food is more worst than the station food dwellers.

Our railway minister Ms Mamta Banerjee had promised to improve catering services in trains, but no any sign of improvement has been noticed. Why Indian travellers are forced to take inferior food which is not according to taste. When the promises of minister will be fulfilled.

Dial 1800-111-139 to offer suggestions as well as lodge complaints relating to catering services on the railway network.

Do our Minister play with our lives?

How long we will see the game played by our Government?
